Who is responsible
Covaryn GmbH, Friedrichstr. 155, 10117 Berlin, Germany, is responsible for the processing described here. Contact us at contact@covaryn.com. This notice covers this website and our inquiry and campaign pages.
Website access and basic statistics
To deliver and protect the website, our hosting and content-delivery services process technical request data, including IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, access time and response information. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We use aggregate website statistics to understand usage and improve the site, on the same legal basis. These use a daily changing identifier derived from IP address and browser information to count visits without cookies or a persistent identifier across days. We receive aggregate reports. We do not use a Meta Pixel or advertising cookies on this website.
Email and inquiry forms
If you contact us, we process the information you provide, such as your name, email address, company size, message and subsequent correspondence, to respond, assess your request and discuss a possible engagement. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for steps you request towards a contract, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for our legitimate interest in handling other business inquiries.
Fields marked as required are needed to submit the form and handle your request. You can also contact us by email. The optional Meta consent is separate and does not affect our response or your access to our services.
Optional Meta advertising measurement
Only if you select the optional consent checkbox, we share a hashed version of your email address, the fact and time of your inquiry, its qualification outcome and an event identifier with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Ireland. This helps measure which ads lead to relevant inquiries and improve advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Meta can match this information to an account and use it for advertising measurement and delivery. Hashing does not make the information anonymous.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by emailing contact@covaryn.com. We then stop future sharing; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. We stop sending inquiry outcomes when the inquiry assessment is complete or you withdraw consent.
For the collection and transmission covered by Meta’s Controller Addendum, we and Meta are joint controllers. We are responsible for consent and this information; Meta handles rights requests concerning data it holds. You may contact either of us. Meta’s subsequent processing is governed by its own privacy policy.
Recipients and international transfers
Access is limited to people who need the data for these purposes and service providers for website hosting, content delivery, security, form handling and business email. We use appropriate data-processing agreements where providers act on our behalf. We may also disclose data where legally required. Meta receives advertising data only as described above.
Providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Transfers rely on an applicable adequacy decision, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified recipients, or appropriate safeguards such as EU standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data or a copy of them.
How long we keep data
Technical data is retained only as needed for delivery, security and investigating incidents. Inquiry data is kept while we handle your request and any resulting business relationship. Afterwards, we delete it unless statutory recordkeeping duties or establishing, exercising or defending legal claims require longer retention. Consent records are kept as needed to demonstrate compliance; after withdrawal, their use is limited to that purpose. Meta’s own retention is explained in its privacy policy.
Your rights
Subject to the legal conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation, and to direct marketing at any time. You may withdraw consent at any time. Contact contact@covaryn.com to exercise these rights.
You may complain to a data-protection supervisory authority, including the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you solely through automated processing.
